Bollywood Dance Group Assist Sri Lanka

On Saturday 11 May the Bollywood Dance Group performed at a charity fundraiser at the Mt Eden War Memorial Hall.
The event was organised by the Vanni Neyam group who help the needy in Sri Lanka. This includes a large number of humanitarian projects such as tuition for primary school students, job opportunities for single women, bicycles for children to go to school and computers in schools.
The group performed a medley of dances including traditional and modern pieces. Supporting their community in this way deepened their connection and support for those in need.
The group members who performed were: Group leader Thamilini Gajendran (Batten House), Karthika Menon (Upham), Medha Penneru (Kupe), Aditya Nair (Batten), Binuri Marasinghe (Batten), Dinithi Ediriwickrama (Upham), Diya Matta (Snell), Katie Lindsell (Batten), Priyanka Kavthekar (Upham), Risha Sapaliga (Hillary), Rishita Rasela (Kupe), Tiffany Rodrigo (Hillary), and Vacha Patel (Batten).
