Bayleys Howick donate to Macleans College sports fund
Posted on November 25, 2024
In a heartwarming example of community partnerships, Bayleys Howick has made a generous donation to the Macleans College Sports Department, channelled through third-party agency Waddell.
Waddell connects donors with initiatives in need. Led by Olympic gold medallist Rob Waddell, the organisation works with sponsors and organisations to create and bring meaningful partnerships to life.
The contribution from Bayleys Howick is earmarked for the school’s Sports Hardship Fund, a vital resource for students and families requiring financial assistance to participate in extra-curricular activities. The immediate impact of the donation will benefit a family with children actively involved in rowing, a sport known for its discipline, teamwork and, unfortunately, high costs. This support will help alleviate financial strain, allowing them to fully participate in the sport.
To celebrate and deepen their connection with the school, representatives from Bayleys Howick were invited for a tour of the Macleans College campus. During their visit, they explored the state-of-the-art sports facilities and admired the performing arts centre, gaining insight into the school’s robust extra-curricular offerings. The visit also included an introduction to the school’s unique whānau house system, which fosters camaraderie, competition and school spirit.
The day concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing the partnership’s significance and setting the stage for future collaborations.
The support from Bayleys Howick demonstrates the strength of local businesses giving back to their communities, not only through financial contributions but also by actively engaging with and understanding the environments they support. Macleans College deeply values this partnership and extends its gratitude to both Waddell and Bayleys Howick for their contributions, which will help shape a brighter future for current and future students.
