Notice to parents/residents on Macleans Road, adjacent to Macleans College and users of the Macleans Reserve, adjacent to Macleans College.

Asbestos removal

From midnight on Friday 27 September 2024 to midnight on Sunday 6 October 2024, a classroom containing asbestos near the Macleans College gymnasium will be demolished and removed from the site.

The area affected by these works will be clearly sign-posted and fenced. Demolition vehicles will be accessing the site via entrances one and two.

The work will be undertaken by a licenced asbestos removal company, Bremco Contractors Ltd, asbestos removal licence RB22090035.

The work will be carried out under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 and will follow the Ministry of Education requirements for asbestos removal in school.

The dates above are during the school holiday period and Macleans College has no organised school activities on-site during these dates. Students, parents and members of the community are asked to avoid accessing the school campus while this work is undertaken.
