Amnesty International Club host Freedom Week Campaign

Posted on August 09, 2018

The Macleans College Amnesty International Club hosted their Freedom Week Campaign last week.

The theme for this year was the ‘Brave’ movement - supporting human rights campaigners who face danger, adversity and struggle in their fight for equality and justice.

The group held a range of fundraisers and informative activities in order to spread awareness of this cause throughout the school. The success of the campaign was reflected not only in the sum of money raised, but also in the number of students who participated. In hosting a petition for the release of a freedom fighter, the efforts of the club will resonate outside of school as well.
