Alumni at Commonwealth Games 2018

Former Macleans College students Corey Main (Kupe 2008 – 2012), Ryan Sissons (Kupe 2002 – 2006) and Natalie Taylor (nee Purcell) (Batten 1999 - 2000) are currently competing in the XXIth Commonwealth Games which are being held on the Gold Coast, in Australia.
Corey received a swimming scholarship at the University of Florida and has now graduated. He is competing in both the 200m and 100m backstroke events. He participated in the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.
Ryan Sissons is competing in the triathlon. He has previously taken part in the Olympic Games, both in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016 as well as the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014. He won a bronze medal in the triathlon mixed team relay earlier this week.
Natalie Taylor is a member of the New Zealand Women's Basketball team who won a bronze medal. Natalie was also a member of the team who represented New Zealand at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
