ACT Party Leader David Seymour visits Macleans College

ACT Party Leader David Seymour recently visited Macleans College, where he held a presentation for Year 13 Social Studies students.

Mr Seymour’s presentation was in relation to the students’ current research inquiry on the End of Life Choice Bill, also known as the legislation of euthanasia. Mr Seymour was the students’ primary source, as he himself wrote the bill in order for change to occur.

The students were offered the chance to ask questions and gather information on how the bill will run once it has been deemed as legal in New Zealand as well as the issues that Mr Seymour faced when writing the bill. His knowledge gave students the opportunity to understand and critically evaluate their current inquiry into the End of Life Choice Bill.

The chance to speak with a Member of Parliament, and a party leader, was a highlight for the students.

Many thanks to Mr Seymour for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit the school, and answer questions.
