Macleans College fencers have rounded off the end of Term 1 with some impressive results at recent competitions.
Northern Secondary Schools Competition 1
This was the first senior secondary individual competition of the year. Finn Wai-Poi (Rutherford House), Daniel Farrelly-Grace (Mansfield), Tianzexi Liu (Snell) and Matteo Carter (Upham) entered for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Macleans College students represented the school across all three weapons; foil, sabre and epee.
Special mention must go to the following experienced students who brought home medals. Allan Zhou (Kupe) secured a bronze in men's sabre, Gisele Lau (Te Kanawa) claimed bronze in women's sabre and Larry Lin (Batten) achieved a silver medal in men's foil.
